A nomadic people out of eastern Middle-earth that several times assailed Gondor in the Third Age.

The battles at the end of the First Age when the hosts of the Valar overthrew Morgoth's stronghold of Angband and in which Beleriand was destroyed.

The Common Language of the North-west of Middle-earth, a mixture of Sindarin and mannish languages. Translated as English.

White Council
The Council of the Wise in the Third Age formed to oppose Sauron.
